About Darcy...

Darcy Jeavons was born and raised in Southern California, and has been making music her whole life. At a very young age, she picked up a guitar — and knew right away that it would be a perfect way to create the songs she wanted to share. Darcy wrote her first song at age 10, and went on through her teen years writing and playing with other young musicians. There was never a doubt in her mind that music was more than just a melody to sing: It was a conduit to people’s hearts.

Darcy has performed over time in a variety of venues, but her fondest memories performing are the numerous occasions she sang the National Anthem in California — for professional games including the L.A. Dodgers, Anaheim Angels, San Diego Chargers and Padres, L.A. Kings, L.A. Galaxy  — to name only a very few. Darcy felt honored and privileged to be given this opportunity, and her two children (who were pre-schoolers at the time) still sometimes refer to the Star Spangled Banner as “The Mommy Song.”

Darcy obtained a BA of Music at California State University Long Beach Cole Conservatory in 2011. She earned her second Music Production Certificate with Berklee College of Music in Boston (Online Studies), which has opened many new creative doors. Being able to contribute to the production of her original music is an invaluable asset to Darcy. In today’s competitive music market, the tools to achieve a professional sound can be a deciding factor in getting noticed.  She is currently working on her MBA in Music Business. So, as Darcy continues to learn, she continues to write her songs. She also enjoys teaching guitar, voice, and a variety of other instruments — as well as leading worship at local churches in her area. Darcy has a heart for God, and believes there is healing and hope in contemporary Christian music.

Although Darcy composes music and writes lyrics to the vast majority of her originals, she also has the desire to create and learn with other musicians. She now collaborates with a variety of musicians from around the world. A very special writing partnership has come to exist with another songwriter in Worcester, England. Jason Mark Yates and Darcy discovered each other’s music on a music sharing website, and began to realize they had a very special and unique writing connection. They have joined musical forces, and are creating magical songs together that are heartfelt and sincere. They have plans to write together on many future projects.

Darcy is an award-winning songwriter whose passion for music is infectious. “Each day brings another opportunity for a great song to be created,” says Darcy. “After all, life is a song waiting to be written….”
